AJ
I am doing another sporting clay get together on Saturday, January 28th if anyone is interested. Again, just like last time, it will be held in Remington, VA at Shady Grove. Everyone should have cabin fever by then, and it will be a great way to blow the dust off the shotguns. MadHuntinPastor
Re: Wintertime Sporting Clays Hope my wife doesn't mind. I will test the water after I do some projects around the house. When do you need to know by?

HarvDog
Re: Wintertime Sporting Clays I should be in. Care if I bring a few extra shooters? I remember most guys shot 12 gauge last time. Would 16 gauge be acceptable?
AJ
Re: Wintertime Sporting Clays A 16 ga is fine as is a 20 ga. How many shooters do you want to bring along? I just need to know for a total of how many, as we may have to be in seperate groups.

WABS
Re: Wintertime Sporting Clays Just found out my son has a basketball game that morning at 0900 - if you shoot early I'll have to pass. Sorry!
AJ
Re: Wintertime Sporting Clays Dang WABS, that's too bad. I was looking forward to shooting with you again Buddy. There will always be oppertunities to shoot, watching the kids grow up is a higher priority. Until next time. We are booked with reservations for Saturday 28th at 09:00 for 2 teams. Looks like we will have teams of 7 shooters each. As of now, the weather looks great, upper 50's, partly cloudy, light breeze, a perfect day for clays. AJ
Re: Wintertime Sporting Clays We had a great time! The weather could not been much better for the end of January. The morning started a little frosty in the low to mid 30's, but it warmed up to a balmy 60 degF, sunshine, slight breeze, and good friends to shoot with. We had a large group so we had to split into a couple groups. Its hard as I would have liked to shot with everyone, but when the group gets so big, its about impossible. Thanks HarvDog and Broadside for making it a good time. WABS, we will have to catch you in a couple months when we do it again. The next time will probably be around the end of March or the beginning of April. AJ
HarvDog
Re: Wintertime Sporting Clays Thanks again AJ for coordinating this. I had a great time and learned alot. One thing in particular was...quit while you're ahead. I might have to stop after one round as I seem to shoot worse the second time around. WABS
Re: Wintertime Sporting Clays Really feel bad about missing the opportunity to shoot with you again. Jonathan is pretty crucial to his basketball teams success, so it's important that I have him there. Not many shots get launched from the paint when he is in there. He probably has an average of a dozen blocked shots a game. I'll be looking forward to the March / April shoot. I've got to have my shoulder scoped sometime in the spring so I hope it works out. 4-6 weeks is my down time - don't have a scheduled date for it yet.
