Not a big surprise here. This has been speculated for the last month or so.

buckbuster11
Re: NFL Coaches and other News Steelers O-line coach Russ Grimm is going to be interviewing for the Lions job and apparently Steelers Offensive Coordinator Ken Wisenhunt has a bunch of teams interested in him, especially after yesterdays game. VtBowhunter
Re: NFL Coaches and other News Russ can go if that's what the Lions want, but I hope Ken stays put. Last thing the Steelers need is to have another few years where we can't keep the same O.C. and the offense suffers.

MCH
Re: NFL Coaches and other News Mike McCarthy has been named Green Bay's new Head Coach. Bills Head Coach, Mike Mularky, has resigned. Buffalo's short list includes: their defensive coordinator Jerry Gray; ex-Bills linebacker and former New Orleans Saints coach Jim Haslett; former Bills, Jets and Vikings defensive coordinator Ted Cottrell; ex-Bears and Lions head coach Dick Jauron; and current Bears defensive coordinator Ron Rivera, whose unit was ranked No. 1 in the NFL this season. I'm rooting for Rivera. Eric Mangini, Patriots Def. Coord., frontrunner for Jets Head Coaching job. Gary Kubiak shoe-in for Texans Head Coaching Job. Could be announced today. buckbuster11
Re: NFL Coaches and other News The Bills are destroying themselves. First they get rid of Bledsoe for overrated rookie Losman, then they get rid of Donahoe and hire Levy back. And now that the majority of their front office is over 80 years old, Mularky cant get anybody to even interview for assistant coaching positions so he walks. They have taken about 5 steps backwards since almost making the playoffs last year.

buckbuster11
Re: NFL Coaches and other News Thats not the point though. The point is they have completely dismantled a team that was playoff caliber a year ago. With all due respect to Marv Levy, he is 80 years old. Nobody even wants to interview there because you cant be sure of the long term stability of that organization and I think that was pretty much proven when Mularky resigned. Payton will be the 4th youngest Head coach in history when the '06 season kicks off. Patriots Defensive Co., Eric Mangini, has been hired as the NY Jets head coach.
