Brassicas Being Hammered

Recommended Posts

My son and I went to our backfield today to retrieve our last tree stand and check out our food plots. We have a little over 2 acres of brassicas planted in a 25 acre field. The deer are TEARING it up!!! Covered with about 1 foot of hard packed snow the deer are digging to the turnip, popping them out of the ground and eating them up. Suprisingly there are still some green leaves under the snow and they [the deer] are eating them as well. Our snow pack is well below normal for this time of year, but it's good to know our deer have good food. This helps us feel all the hard work was worth the effort.

Needless to say we are going to replant brassica again this coming season!
