LETMGROW
My son and I went to our backfield today to retrieve our last tree stand and check out our food plots. We have a little over 2 acres of brassicas planted in a 25 acre field. The deer are TEARING it up!!! Covered with about 1 foot of hard packed snow the deer are digging to the turnip, popping them out of the ground and eating them up. Suprisingly there are still some green leaves under the snow and they [the deer] are eating them as well. Our snow pack is well below normal for this time of year, but it's good to know our deer have good food. This helps us feel all the hard work was worth the effort. Needless to say we are going to replant brassica again this coming season!

G-Daddy
Re: Brassicas Being Hammered My turnip field is being hammered also. Sat over it for several afternoon hunts with my flintlock. Unfortunately, the deer are not coming in until way after dark. Wait 'till next year!!!!!!

FSU_Seminole
Re: Brassicas Being Hammered I switched Brassica blends this year & the results were very pleasing. I switched to the Tecomate Brassica & I was pretty shocked at how the deer ate it before the season ended.
