dogdoc
Vince Young just announced he will be entering the NFL draft this year. I can't blame him as I don't see him having anything else to prove in college. I see him going as the #3 pick. todd
Tominator
Re: Vince Young going pro... Smart move. The only thing he had to gain might have been the Heisman, but that's no lock. Take the money and run.
VtBowhunter
Re: Vince Young going pro... I think we all knew he would enter the draft. As I stated before, he'll be heading to the Titans......he has a long time relationship with Steve Mcnair.

jdickey
Re: Vince Young going pro... Yeah... ole Mack Brown is gonna have some big shoes to fill and really quick. Wish the Cowboys could do some trading to get Young... course ole Parcells wouldn't want Vincent anyway.... he's not OLD ENOUGH!

hutchies
Re: Vince Young going pro... He just better hope he does not blow a knee out the first year or he will be wishing he had gotten that college education.
muggs
Re: Vince Young going pro... Hutch- if he'd stay in school and then blow out a knee, good bye millions, if he goes pro he'll at least have some serious cash to go along with that blown knee. AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Vince Young going pro... Most of the guys playing on Saturday hope to be playing on Sunday and all wish and want to go Pro. Hard to pass up millions compared to what a degree would get them. Granted I would like to see them require that all get a 4 year education and graduate but college sports is big money and going pro! Man if I could only play basketball or play football, think of all the hunting land I could buy!!
hutchies
Re: Vince Young going pro... I feel like if they should require students to put in their 4 years and graduate before they can go pro. If they want to go pro early make them pay like a contract buy out. Tominator
Re: Vince Young going pro... Tough to force anyone to learn if they don't want to, then add a few agents to the mix that promise millions of dollars to these kids. If the athlete is motivated enough, and has and intrinsic need to learn and earn a degree, that degree isn't going anywhere, and most colleges will still accept you if your knee is a pile of mush. muggs
Re: Vince Young going pro... A 12 million dollar signing bonus, or a Bachelor's. It's an easy choice for me, besides, you can always finish school if the NFL doesn't work out.

TreeStandBowHunter
Re: Vince Young going pro... OK, I ask this because I am not really into football...only hockey . I watch the Super Bowl but that's about it You guys say about the team that he might go to or will go too. When in the draft, do they have a choice to where they go? I don't blame him either. Money talks these days
buckbuster11
Re: Vince Young going pro... No, the players really dont have a choice unless they say they will absolutely not sign with a certain team, and then that might alter a teams thinking in drafting him. We are just discussing which teams are going to pick who. Its just like the NHL draft except there isnt a lottery. The team with the worst record picks first and the super bowl winner picks last etc...
TreeStandBowHunter
Re: Vince Young going pro... Gotcha, thanks. I've often wondered about that. You know as a kid growing up you have your favorite football team...for example the Steelers. You hate every other team but your Steelers who you have loved since you knew football. Now you are getting drafted to say the Browns. But I guess when there is money involved, it's different. That would bug me though. I wouldn't want to play for any NHL team except the Bruins. But I guess if the Ottawa Senators through a few million more at me I wouldn't care Thanks
buckbuster11
Re: Vince Young going pro... If I ever had to play for the Browns I would throw every single game and steal paychecks until they caught on and threw me out.

muggs
Re: Vince Young going pro... I would play for the Stillers, and I'd be the Ohio boy to turn their franchise around. As a rookie, I'd go undefeated in the regular season, and then tank in the playoffs like any good Ohio boy would, just to get the fans hopes up, and then watch them crumble. double_drop
Re: Vince Young going pro... I think he would be a good starting for the rebuilding of the packers. They could get a passing and running offense just from the qb.
