NEMOdeerhunter
I just bought a Leupold VX-1 4-12x40 and every where I could find on the net was $250 or higher. most of them were $250 exactly. I still need too buy another scope and was just curious if there is anywhere that might be cheaper than that. After looking for a while, I wondered if maybe leupold sets a minimum price that a dealer can sell them for. Also, what do you guys put on your screws for bases and rings too help hold them in place. Loctite?

too_pointer
Re: Where too buy Leupold scopes I just put a scope on my 25-06 today, and used the removable #242 blue loctite on my base and rings. I have used that for years, and it works great!! Make sure it says " removable " on it. !!! too_
AJ
Re: Where too buy Leupold scopes It took me a while to find one but I did find a place with slightly lower prices click here for their site. Too-Pointer is on the ball with the blue loktite. That's what I use. Be sure to degrease the screw and hole prior to installin the sealant. BigBuckVideo
Re: Where too buy Leupold scopes Try www.24hourcampfire.com They will meet or beat any Lepold price that is posted by any other company. I just bought a 3.5x10x40 VXIII from them. Great price and service.
Guest Blacktail
Re: Where too buy Leupold scopes I use Riflescopes.com and Natchez Shooters. They are cheaper than any of the local stores here where I live. Good luck! Blacktail
tped
Re: Where too buy Leupold scopes Call Southeastern Gun Company in Georgia 912-531-1181. I just ordered a Remington 700 from him for dirt cheap and he sold me a Nikon Buckmasters Silver Shadow 3x9x40 NIB for $154. He told me he can beat anyone for scopes and to tell my friends to call him when buying. Check it out.
NEMOdeerhunter
Re: Where too buy Leupold scopes Thanks for all the help guys. I ended up buying one from the place AJ suggested. Tped, did you order your 700 over the phone, or do you live close enough that you can go pick it up. I always assumed that you had too fill out the paper work in person? tped
Re: Where too buy Leupold scopes I ordered over the phone. I had to send a copy of my local dealers FFL to the out of state dealer. He then ships to my dealer who does the paperwork and transfer. Happens everyday in the US. check out gunbroker.com / gunsamerica.com / auctionarms.com if you doubt it. Biggest risk is buying something unseen (particularly used) and if privately holding your breath waiting for the product after your money is gone. While I don't buy out of state often - I have never had a problem but usually do my homework ahead of time.
snapper
Re: Where too buy Leupold scopes I use blue loc-tite on my bases...but never put anything on the rings. Never had a problem with doing it this way...but should I be putting loc-tite on the rings screws as well? BTW tped...I'm assuming that was a leftover '04 model Nikon?
