If the weather is bad or she's not having fun, cut the hunt short. Don't force her to stay out for long periods if she's miserable. Good luck and have fun! Too many poddy breaks during the hunt. I placed them in a pop up blind and I sat outside a short distance from it. There was giggling, wrestling, and the sound of fabric rubbing the blind. Remember that whatever happens, you are spending priceless time with your child and if she enjoys herself, you will spend countless more hours like this with her! Do it on her terms!
