Hoyt03
Just wondering what types of scopes everyone uses for their Omega. I'm leaning towards a nikon but am unsure on what color to get. With my gun having the RT camo stock and stainless barrel, I'm thinking prob either black or maybe the RT camo. Any input?
Guest OldBuckhunter
Re: Scopes for the Omega hoyt03 I bought an omega, the same as yours. I was looking for a silver scope with base and rings the same. I would buy a Leupold 3x9x40,but Leupold is all I use. My omega is the thumbhole one. Read Bluelk's ML 101. Has some good info I'm going to try. Happy hunting with your new omega.

tedicast
Re: Scopes for the Omega I have a stainless/RT Encore ml'er. I have a Bushnell Elite 3200, 3x9x40, in Leupold Quick Release rings. I like the way the matte base, rings and scope look on the stainless gun. My bro has the same gun, with silver Leupold mounting hardware, and a 2x7x32, Nikon ProStaff, in Hardwoods camo. That looks really sweet too. They are both great, reasonably priced scopes. rockefeller66
Re: Scopes for the Omega I would go with the camo one, we have on Encore with black nylon stock and stainless steel barrel and have a black scope on it. As far as power I would want something like 4-12 or 3-9, some good name brand scope that accepts a lot of light.

I just posted those to give you a visual of what the Hardwoods Synthetic, and stainless looked like with different scopes.
Guest OldBuckhunter
Re: Scopes for the Omega I see you have a leupold solid base for scope rings. I didn't know that base would work. Checked several places for it, but they never say if it it work with an Omega. I have stainless barrel with realtree stock. Leupold man but thinking about a camo nikon 3x9x40 with silver rings. I wanted the solid base instead of the two base ones. Really like your bros setup.

silentgate
Re: Scopes for the Omega I have an Omega with RT camo and stainless barrel. I put a Nikon 3X9X40 Prostaff scope (matte) on it and I personally think it's a great scope.
tedicast
Re: Scopes for the Omega dmills... i take my scope off everytime I clean the gun. POI has not changed at all for me. If you are talking about taking the scope off of an Encore to shoot open sights, that could be a problem. My scope wasn't even close to clearing the rear sight. You would probably have to go with extra high rings to make that work on an Encore.
too_pointer
Re: Scopes for the Omega I have several qr Leupold base and rings on my rifles with great results. Cabela's carried them with a 1 piece base in Cabela's also for Encore and Omega. too_
