Re: hoyt or mathews

Iowabowhunter16, welcome to the forums. Just in case you sign on the forums and this post isn't here. It is because is got out of hand, the Mathews vs. Hoyt thing is a very ugly situation. Everyone had got there opinions and some of the opinions aren't what you what to hear. My best advice to you is, go to a Pro Shop and shot bothof them, and then make your decision. I've shot both and I don't own either one. JMO Let's keep it clean folks. wink.gifgrin.gif

Re: hoyt or mathews

Last night I went to an old bow shop where I used to shoot and I shot the new switchback XT, hoyt trycon, and the Bowtech Tribute. The switchback was awesome. I didn't care for the hoyt all that much but I really liked the Bowtech. It was smooth and quiet and fast. I don't think I would change from the mathews brand though.

Re: hoyt or mathews

i have shot both Mathews and Hoyt . both companies are top notch and have excellent customer service.

i shoot 2 Hoyts right now. reason is our local archery shop sold them and i am kind of a shop shooter.

my Hoyt Ultratec and Protec are my most favorite bows. the Ultratec for 3d competition and hunting and the Protec for Indoor target comeptition and Field archery .

i have shot a few Mathews bows. the Switchback is super sweet for a hunting bow. the LX and Legacys are both excellent bows also. i have shot a few shots out of the Apex and its awesome. but i didnt like the grip to much.

i could switch to Mathews if i found a shop that would put me on as a shop shooter. i find no real differance in the 2 bow companies. they both have super pros that shoot for them and they are the 2 companies that win about 95% of all the Big tournaments.

i say shoot both and see what you like.

Shoot Strong

Tony
