I am a rookie to this Muzzleloading, so what is lapping your muzzleloader exacty?

There is a tutorial in Bluelks ML page here in the room.

It covers it pretty well.

Basically removing any burrs and sharp spots on the lands and groove, the rifling, in your barrel with lapping compound.

Lapping compound is a fine grit paste used to clean and polish metal parts.

Thanks for the replys. I believe I'll try it. I don't think it will hurt anything. I'm new at ML and trying to learn everything I can. I try to take good care of my guns and other gear as best I can.
