RangerClay
Howdy All, Last weekend I went fishing and my Sony Mavica decided to STB because it was too cold for it. I am thinking about buying a new digital camera for less that $100 for hunting and ice fishing. What do suggest I should get? Ranger
muggs
Re: Digital cameras for ice fishing I know there's alot of digi cams for that price nowadays. I was looking at Best Buy and saw several, some with 4.1 megapixels. They also sell waterproof cases for most cams, I have one for my Sony Cybershot, and it so waterproof that you can take photos underneath the water, up to 10 feet I think. RangerClay
Re: Digital cameras for ice fishing Thanks Muggs! It's not the water I'm worried about, it's the cold. I want it to function when it's 10 degrees outside. Ranger
muggs
Re: Digital cameras for ice fishing Just keep it in an inside pocket to keep it warm, not the most convient thing, but I don't think any LCD screen will work in that cold of weather. I don't actually put the cam underwater either, but it protects it from rain, snow, ect...the added case protects from drops, scratches too. After getting the case, I can't believe I took my cam into the outdoors without it. Best $30 you can spend. IMO.
