BowJoe
I am so tired of hearing JJ and Al sharpton rant about how unfair it is for the black person in the world. I work with a black male the same age and all he talks about is how unfair it is to work in an environment that is mostly white. I never hit a black person, walked up to them and called them a racial name in my life yet he tries to tell me how easy I have it because I'm white. My wife and I live like most people pay check to pay check and pay our bills like any other person. I never considered myself to be above anyone or below anyone and neither does my wife. Last year though, we paid into taxes while he got back over $5000 and blew $2100 of it on a laptop that he says doesn't even work. He has 3 kids and one has a birth defect of a crooked foot or something but nothing that keeps her from walking or running and they get $600 a month just for her plus free medicaid for his entire family. My wife has Multiple Sclerosis, is legally blind in her right eye, just had her total hip replaced along with another surgery on her other hip and we got a letter from SSD saying we owe them $8100 for undeserved payment for 16 mos. because she made $100 over the limit. Who has it worse? The people who use it to the hilt and waste it and gripe about not having anything and the whole world's against them or my wife who refused to use a handicap tag and still worked and does work over 40 hours a week as an LPN for home health care? He expects to get the same amount back this year and all he talks about is spending it on a handgun and a mix machine to make beats with. He doesn't even have a FOID card and didn't know he had to have one to get one. What does he even need a gun for? Protection? He lives in a far out town of about 600 people and everyone knows everyone. He doesn't have a car and has missed over 20 days of work in the last 5 mos. and when I asked him why he wouldn't buy a car with that money and pay it off he said that he was holding out to finance a 2005 Impala at $360/ Mo. He could buy a car for that and not have a payment at all but then I guess that would make sense. And to top it all off he still says that if a finance company doesn't loan him the money it's because he's black. He got pulled over last year (when he had a car) with no seat belt, no insurance, no registration and going 80 in a 65. His excuse was that he got caught doing the the wrong color. I am just disgusted with being labeled as the bad guy and not one person other than the idiots in the KKK put a voice to it. I don't hate other races, I am just tired of being labeled as the bad guy because someone is too lazy or ignorant to take care of themselves. "Hate is just wrong. It doesn't matter what color is doing the hating, it's just plain wrong." -Muhammad Ali

[/ QUOTE ] I don't know but I can't stand him nor any of the other ones that try to make a statement that isin't true. They do this country more harm than good. I like the people like Bill Cosby who knows the truth and speaks it like it is. Bill Cosby knows the real reason why.... But when Jackson dies, they will make a holiday after him and I will get another day off each year

johnf
Re: Is it racist to dislike Jesse? I think, like me, you have a problem with stupid lazy people. There's good news. Stupid, lazy people come in all shapes, sizes and colors. As for your co-worker. In some areas black folks do have it harder. That doesn't give them or anyone the right to claim the race card every time they do something stupid. If you don't speed, you won't get pulled over for speeding. Guest guess
Re: Is it racist to dislike Jesse? I have many black friends and have never heard any of them complain about how mistreated they are! jesse jackson is the racist! he thrives on the ignorance of some of the misfortunate and under edjucated black people! he will continue to degrade his own people and try to keep them down! anyone ever hear bill cosby complain about how his people are treated? I haven't,I have however heard him try and encourage his people to edjucate themselves and rise above the issues that plague them! just my 2 cents! Jimfrompa
Re: Is it racist to dislike Jesse? I went to a week long seminar once and they had us make a time line of our lives and then share it with the group. There were 50 people in the group from many different backgrounds. When the timelines were shared not 1 person had escaped some kind of tragic experince. These timelines had love ones born, live and die. Great loves, Great friends, some lost loves lost jobs and lost chances. If you looked at these life experiences you could see the things that formed these people, helping some thrive and beating some to a hard to identify form of human. This gave me a different opinion of how to look at people. And to learn that there but for the Grace of God go I. I to have a timeline and some day that line will come to an end. Should I spend the little time I have left finding the bad in people? Or might I look at each person as someone that God has made in his image? I can hate the sin and love the sinner as God has told me to. Or I can block the good things that God has for me by judging others who were made in Gods image. I do not judge you for your dislike, I only offer a better way to look at others shortfalls. Jesus died so that all might be saved not just the smart ones or the good ones but All! This is the Good News. we all have a timeline. How will you spend the rest of yours?
Texan_Til_I_Die
Re: Is it racist to dislike Jesse? The man is an idiot and a complete embarrassment to anyone who thinks he has any credibilty left. His only claim to fame was being on a balcony with ML King Jr when he was shot. If he had not been in that exact spot at that exact time, it's likely that the Rev Jackson would have faded into oblivion. Heck, he might have even gotten a real job for the first time in his life! ParrotHead
Re: Is it racist to dislike Jesse? Racist is defined as the belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others. Now with that being said, you're only racist if you dislike the slogan master Jesse Jackson because he's black. You however are NOT racist is you dislike him because you think he's a **** idiot or full of dung or just plain crazy.

Why then is the United Negro College Fund Ok? Just a Question

It's like a puppy that pees in the floor. If you train him when he is a puppy to go outside or to retreive or whatever your purpose then you won't have to teach him when he's older. A lot of the minorities have been told their the victim so many times that they started playing the role from the day they were born. Now people think it's ok to help just specific races because they belong to that race. People equate minority as weak and frail and majority as strong and independant. VtBowhunter
Re: Is it racist to dislike Jesse? I have absolutely no problem with calling minorities out when they act like that, and if they don't like it.......well I guess they can feel offended, but I won't give a ****. I'ld do the same to whites. I am racist.........I think the human race as a whole sucks........and it's all because of the whining liberals that want this country made in thier image, and the weaklings that let them get away with it without confronting them, but **** about them behind their backs. markyj987
Re: Is it racist to dislike Jesse? The problem with Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton is they tell minorities that they are helpless and that all their troubles are caused by racism. They blame whites for all the problems--and use their pull with them to get them to vote for the liberals who support big government that will "fix everything." Decades and decades of entitlements-liberals that were going to make it better for them. Kind of funny how things REALLY work. Whether you're white, black, purple, green, or orange--if you're willing to WORK HARD, you can get somewhere in this country. No, I'm not foolish enough to deny racism exists--because it does; however, to play yourself off as a victim and blame everyone else for your problems only makes people so they can't stand you--regardless of your color.
