preacherman
My peep sight keeps twisting on my bow and I don't know why. This is real frustrating because when you pull back, sometimes you can see through your peep and then some other times you can't. Never had this happen before, can anyone help? VTbowman
Re: Peep keeps twisting Without further details I would guess your string or cables are stretching on you... What sort of peep? Rubber tubing or not? Bow? String and cable age? These could help detremine a bit better what the issue is.
EIGHTPOINT
Re: Peep keeps twisting Two things you can do, 1st, you can get a new string that does not twist or twist much such as a zebra string or a tailer made string. 2nd, I am assuming that your string is " shot in ", adust your twist so as to get it close then figure your rotation and pre rotate your peep to an angle using the arrow nock to hold this position. When you draw, your peep will square to you . It sounds alot harder than it is. I use this method on my 3-d bow. Good luck.
preacherman
Re: Peep keeps twisting It is a brand new Hoyt Ultra Mag. No rubber tubing on the peep. I bought the bow back in September. Just had it "fixed" on Thursday........and it is back doing it again today. Just a little bit frustrated over this one! EIGHTPOINT
Re: Peep keeps twisting You can also consider a string loop. The string loop will consistently put the string and peep in the same place every time. Since your bow is new and it seems that it'not shot in yet, you may want to just shoot it anytime you can just to get the factory string stretched. Once it is then you can readjust your peep via a bow press and keep trying it until you get it where you want it.
