Bit chilly today

This is a picture of the steam rising off the St. Lawrence River. The windchill is currently -21 degrees below zero. Man I feel sorry for you Canadians! When we go south for a winter vacation, we can hit warm sunny Florida. You guys have this weather in your southernmost point! Notice the ice on the trees..that is from the steam drifting by the trees and adhering to them. grin.gif

not here swampy ----- I live in one of the most southern parts of Canada ( southern tip of NS ), today it is 21 F and it's the first time the temp has been below freezing this month.

I got a snowplow for my 4-wheeler for Christmas and haven't even been able to use it yet crazy.gif

This has been one great winter so far cool.gif

ps ----- I am going to Florida on Feb. 5 grin.gif

Except for a cold snap around the first of December, we've been exceptionally mild, which is fine for me and my heating bill.

I think it was LifeNRA that had posted how he had set his digital thermostat to turn down at night, and to be honest, I had just been lazy up until now and had always done it manually before going upstairs to bed, (when I didn't forget) blush.gif. Well today I set that baby to drop down from 71 degrees during the daytime, to 70 degrees at 10pm to 68 degrees at midnight until 6am where it jumps up to 70 degrees and then back to 71 degrees at 7am. We get up around 6:30 - 7:00am every morning. Sure hope this helps me "stick it to the oil company" a bit!

Holy Crap! 71?

I'm slowly acclimating my family down to 65 during the day, and 63 at night. I've had the thermostat around 66 for the past 2 weeks, and she complains everyday, but she always complains about being cold, so until the kids complain, it's going to continue to go down.

God forbid if she ever actually looks at the thermostat. grin.gif
