too_pointer
JUST AN F.Y.I. I found a site that sells trigger shoes for an assortment of guns, whether it be pistols, rifles, or shotguns. trigger shoes I just put one on my Rem 597 .22 It makes your trigger pad wider and thicker, and it held on by 2 tiny allen screws and comes with the correct allen wrench. I really like the feel much better. too_pointer
hangunnr
Re: TRIGGER SHOE AND T-GRIPS "SHOTGUNS & RIFFLES "........ from their homepage..... Maybe if they sell enough they can afford a spellcheck..... I've used trigger shoes on my match pistols for years. They can give a much better feel when breaking a shot. Be careful though as they will leave permanant marks on aluminum triggers. hangunnr

Oldflyer
too_pointer: I tried your link "trigger shoes" and it gives me an unauthorized error message. I tried ordering from Tyler Manufacturing and they took my money but no product, no reply from mail and won't answer the phone. I am trying to find a source. I am a great believer in trigger shoes having used them extensively on rifles I have built, or customized or repaired. Most of the people who come to me about "bad triggers" very seldom have a trigger problem. Narrow triggers seem to be the most common culprits. I install a trigger shoe, and go to the rifle range and do a little coaching and they all swear the trigger pull is lighter and smoother with a crisp break. My trigger pull guages generally show a very slight reduction after cleaning and oiling with a 1 to 2 oz decrease in measured pull. Soooo, if you can put me on to someone that still makes them, I would deeply appreciate it.

Oldflyer
I have gotten a contact from one who read my post and purchased three trigger shoes (Ace) from him, so the forum has helped me. I can also post an updated procedure or email it to anyone interested in adjusting their late model Weatherby Vanguard trigger.
