Guest TBryan
The calls with double reeds will be easier to get the hand of. I would get one of those then once you get the hang of the thing then i would try some different ones with tripple and quadruple reeds. Id try a coulp brands to see which works best. Ive found that woodhavens work the best for me.

VTbowman
Re: diaphram calls I got the Prmios CD and 3 call pack from Walmarts last year. I listen to the CD while on my work commute. (1 hour each way) The CD really helps ya out on how to choose and fit the calls, how to get different sounds, and about 10 different calls that can be made with the diaphram. The 3 pak is nice since they have 3 different sizes and designs with it due to the different size and shape of everybodies mouth. Ijmwould start there and decide whicg call fits best before spending all kinds of money blindly trying to find one that fits.... JMO. The CD is the cats meow IMHO. I have it in the CD player this time of year and just practice that way...
Hoyt03
Re: diaphram calls Where can you purchase the woodhaven calls? I was on their website, but they didnt have a place you could buy them at?
Lumpy
Re: diaphram calls For starters I would use a two reeded call, they seem to be easier to use. Hooks Custom Calls are tough to beat. Easy to use and great sound. Hope this helps God Bless
