johnf
I spent all day hunting today with my father-in-law who is around 80, and can't hear (so he yells) and could make noise with 2 Q-tips. I knew it was going to be like that so that's not the real irritating part. We spent all day in the woods. He stayed in the stand most of the time while I walked the woods trying to drive something in to him. When we left the property we met up with the property owner and talked with him for a bit. A third truck pulled up and asked if we had seen a brown chevy with a bunch of kids in it. One of the kids had shot a nice 8pt from the back of the truck while driving down the road. The buck was on his property and the climbed his fence to get the deer. (How many laws did that break?) When I got to the end of the road, the truck was there and the kids were checking the deer. That's just not right. What is really irritating is that I spent all day trying to legally hunt and didn't see a thing untill I got on the road, and these little S#(**'$ took a deer from the road that could have easily crossed my path. They will not be prosicuted and have only learned that they can do whatever they want. I called the owner of the land that I hunt and told him where the kids were. He said that family has been doing that for years and they are related to the game warden. Nothing will happen. That is irritating!!!!!!!!! [/ QUOTE ] I would get the farmer or you to press formal charges and go over the game wardens head. Also file a compliant if nothing is done, not to the game warden ...go over his head. That just ain't right.
johnf
Re: Irritating beyond belief I called the state dept. today and the warden from the next county called me. Today when I left, I went down the road to see it they were around. There they sat, a car and 4X4 with an empty dog box on the side of the road with 5-6 guys actiing like they were workin on the truck. RangerClay
Re: Irritating beyond belief Go get them Johnf. Raise some cane! Take it to the top!! If these outlaws know someone is watching them from now on they will be less likely to try it again. Ranger
