matt01
I have a massive 4+ years old doe hanging around one of my stands. I have not been able to take the buck i want and i am starting to think i am going to take her right after the rut. Should i take her now or wait and see if i can rattle the big buck i have seen in. I am only allowed one deer so what would you do???
buckee
Re: What do you think about this doe........ I'd base my decission on the buck to doe ratio in your area. If you have a good ratio, hold out for the buck, if you have too many does...take her Just my opinion of course and I wouldn't fault you either way, it's totally up to you. puffy
Re: What do you think about this doe........ Sound advice.... But how hungry are ya? LOL Hold out if you know you have a good chance at putting a buck down and if not, slap that tag on the doe. They're all trophies, horns or not. ..............................Hunt Smart-Eat Well
dogdoc
Re: What do you think about this doe........ i'd hold out also. i don't usually shoot does until the end of the season. i just like to be a low impact hunter--create as little distubance as possible around my hunting area when going after the big boy. best of luck todd
Swamphunter
Re: What do you think about this doe........ I'd hold off if the season is young. If the season is old, take her...!
