Ashley (lil-blonde-deer-killer) and I started chatting online shortly after I joined the forums last October. We found that we had a lot in common, and we were like best friends for a while. It was like we knew each other our whole lives. Well, she didn't know that I "liked" her, and I didn't know that she "liked" me. Finally I couldn't hold it back any longer, and I told how I felt about her. She had felt the same about me, but was nervous to tell me. Anyways, on May 10th, 2005 we decided to try it and consider ourselves "boyfriend and girlfriend". That had to be the best decision of my life right there! Then in July, Ash and her parents came here to my grandma's resort for a week's vacation. That most definetly sealed the deal. The day I met her in person, it was like we had been together forever. Most of you probably wonder "how the heck can they keep a relationship living so far apart?" Well, we talk on messanger from anywhere from 2 to 4 hours a night, and we talk on the phone quite a bit too. It is hard being 800 miles away from each other, but it's amazing what love will hold together. I was there over Christmas for a week, and plan on going back down early summer. She also wants to move here and go to college in Ottawa. It's been 8 1/2 months together with her now, and now I'm certainly glad I stayed single until now, and definetly glad I joined the Realtree forums! Started hitting the local clubs and bars with my buddies since I was single again. I 1st met her in a night club one night, got her number and never called her. 2 weeks later my mother was trying to set me up with one of her co-workers which I was not interested in. I thought she was talking about the "cute recepetionist" whom I though was very attractive. Not thinking anything of it I left. My mother calls me later that day to tell me that she (the cutie) would go out with me and then who she was. Its was the same girl from the night club I blew off 2 weeks earlier. LOL I guess the low lights and all I did not reconize her. But she did me and told my mother the whole story. I must of said something right huh. LOL Been married now for 6 years. Quite by accident, I was in High school "running the hill", for track practice with a bunch of my buddies...really it was an hour we could be out on the highway and screw around.....this car load of girls from another high school goes by and nobody doea anything, SOOOO..I flagged them down and ran over and started talking to them, seems one girl was going with one of my friends .....but this blonde caught my eye...they didnt leave without me getting her phone no...... all the while the other guys stood there, snooz ya lose.. (we're 2000 miles apart, but could write). 8 moths later, 4th time i ever saw her, we wer married. still waiting to see if it will work out... Eharmony.com laugh all you want: I was living in the middle of nowhere, and decided to move back to the home country: Signed up, found out we had a lot of mutual friends, we emailed and talked on the phone for a while, and one night she said "this is really dumb, we don't even know if we'll be attracted to each other...why dont' you drive over here"....so 2 hours later we met for a movie, she sat in her chair, I sat on the couch, we talked for an hour and decided to skip the movie and go out for dinner: Both agreeing that the movie was a "safe" ploy, ..... That was in July of 2004: Just asked her to Marry me in Oct. of 2005: May is our wedding date: She puts up with the birddog (however she refuses to call me that :-)) Gotta love it! browning_gold_12 Posted January 20, 2006 Report Share Posted January 20, 2006 Re: How did you meet your???? got stood up by a girl one night so me and my buddy dannon took of for another town 35 miles to the south in search of a new hunting ground. we were chasing everything in sight. this one car had a couple nice looking girls in it, we tried to flag them down and they blew us off. little while later we drove thru a parking lot and saw them standing around in a crowd and we high hatted them this time. about the time we pulled back onto the avenue, one of them hollered "hey baby!" we pulled a u turn right in the middle of traffic and went back. that was in may of 94, brandi and i married in july of 95, and now have ryno age 4, and anna age 7. Since it was Christmas time the mistletoe got stood under by quite a few girls. The wife was there because her brother was married to my cousin.She won out over the other gal there because she was the better kisser. We went on a few dates and then broke off my engagement in March.(Truthfully I was having serious doubts about the fiancee because of my feelings. I did not love her ws it) So Doris and I ended up getting married in August. She never knew about the fiancee until after the marriage. She was a couple years older then me. I was working for my Cousin in the grocery store and she got hired as a cashier. We started talking like co workers do and a bit of a crush started. I remember bagging the groceries as she scanned them and delt with the customer. Her and Her Figure Skating Bum. LOL She went to University, while I finished High School. I felt so cool telling all the other girls that I already had a Girlfriend and that she was in University. Through some rough times and some time apart, we are together 5 years now, more in love than ever and just got married on October 1st.
