AJ
Yep, its a decent deal. You can try the barrels out and if they don't shoot to your liking, sell them on e-bay or somewhere else. You can get ~$150-$200 per barrel. So selling both barrels you can have an action for $50-$100, not bad. You can always get a barrel in your favorite chambering from a variety of sources. Also, the gun does turn into a nice muzzleloader.
too_pointer
Re: Tell me about the Encore! An Encore with 2 barrels !! That sounds pretty good I have a muzzleloader barrel, and a 25-06 barrel for my Encore, and have alot more $$ than that invested. Let us know how they shoot. too_

tped
Re: Tell me about the Encore! Let me know who is selling and I'll buy that deal in a blink.I have a couple Encores and love them. Plenty accurate for all I need to do with them and the barrel choices make it extremely versatile. My current are are a stainless 209x50 with stainless barrels in .223 , 280 & 284 (16.5" carbine) and a custom shop complete handgun in 35 Whelen. buying a 243 barrel and may get the new 12 gauge stainless slug barrel- Bottom line - buy that deal - you won't regret it. Most new barrels are now $239-259 with most new complete guns well into the 500 range
