Guest ILclimber
Re: How different is your set up for Turkey vs Deer I have also used the same set up. I use muzzy 100 grain's. With deer I have never had a problem with them and I will be a customer for life with those heads. But don't be afraid to try new equipment when turkey hunting. Borrow a different head or two from your buddies. Toy around with them and see what works best.

Leo
Re: How different is your set up for Turkey vs Dee I know too many people who found out the hard way that using a fixed head on gobblers is a bad idea. They lost birds and they are excellent shots. Turkeys don't leave blood trails. An expandable with a large cutting radius (2") is the best way to go. You want a broadhead that really thumps em. If I pull out the bow for turkeys, I'm considering Rocket Hammerheads. I know I won't use my Montec 100s for the job. Even though they have been fantastic for other game. I'm certain they would just zip right thru a gobbler, which is not what I want or need.
Guest bownut
Re: How different is your set up for Turkey vs Dee I am trying the NAP Gobbler Getters again this year. They look like a good head. The point is not sharp, but blunted to give limitted penetration and to give shock like a bullet. Anyone else try these with success? How did they perform? rockefeller66
Re: How different is your set up for Turkey vs Deer the only thing that would need to be different is your broadhead, depending on what you are shooting, usually a big expandable is good for turkeys
