ODH
Re: Any car lovers in here? [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] yea, but not after 1972. we lost our horses with the epa regs. kids today don't know what muscle is. [/ QUOTE ] Todays muscle blows the doors off the 70's muscle. Another thing is it can also get up to 3x the gas milage of the 60's and 70's cars. Heard of the Viper, Corvette Z06, SRT 8 Hemi, Saleen? With todays technology, muscle cars are better than ever. The difference is now days, they handle much better. [/ QUOTE ]he does have a point though, older muscle cars are strong as in brute strength, really fast off the line, and u can sure tell when ones coming down the street. ODH
Re: Any car lovers in here? [ QUOTE ] are you two kidding, AJ and ohiodeerhunter?? todays so-called "muscle" are jsut a bunch of souped up riceburners!! if you put a tricked out 67 corvette, with a 427 big block, next to todays vette, the 67 would blow the new one outta the water!!! wiht todays technology, its almost impossible to truly customize your car. wiht the old ones, you can put so much stuff on it, and rig it up so well ... ive seen a 67 mustang gt take on a 2002 mustang gt, both of em tricked out, and the guy racin the 67 was sittin on his hood at the finish line waitin for the guy in the 2002!!! that goes to show you what true ameerican muscle is!! ill admit, gas mileage is better, but if you want true american muscle, look at the 60s [/ QUOTE ]u are right when you say older muscle is fast, but i hate riceburners. When i say new age muscle i American cars, like my mustang, Chevy, etc. I know that some newer cars are faster than some older ones, and some older ones are faster than newer ones. Its all what you are packing under the hood.

This makes a big difference!
