sureshot
I went out yesterday moring and had 5 coyotes by 2,I called 9 stands and had coyotes coem in from 4, I also took one in the front chest and he got into a den in a rockpils 40 yards from were I hit him, i know i took out a lung by the blood but i could not dig him out or hook him with wire,I went out to the farm last night and tried a few spots out there with no luck!!This morning I am able to hunt only one small area by my town[all big game seasons are closed and there are no doe tags so its open today for sunday hunting] I went out and called 3 spots with no luck, then at the next one called in a single and rolled him,the next spot called for abotu 15 minutes and was thinking about leaving when I spotted 2 goihjg over a hill abotu 1/2 mile away, I barked and in the came,I watched them come over a knoll abotu 200 yards and was thinking double,They were not coming out of the little dip, the buggers got in the trench and came around me,I see the one at 150 yards standing there, i swing around put the crosshairs and as I do he starts trotting,in all the exitement, I blew it and missed!! I had to get a target out and check the gun out LOL,it was shootign right, just a plain old miss, I must of lifted on him !!No idea!I then stopped at a rancher freinds to ask abotu calling his posted land soemday and he said they were howling below the barn a hour or so before,he has a dead cow in the pile there, I walked through the barn with him and as we came out the back door a coyote sticks his head out of the inside of the cow cavity LOL, He took off but at 250 yards did not make 20 more before he rolled!!I tell you he is red from head to tow,I have no idea why he was right inside of the cavity, Just a bit more washing I guess! Now its skinnin time !!

sureshot
Re: good weekend!! wyo I have prob a million acres lol!I have permission for a area that is 25 miles long by abotu 15 wide, that is just norht of town then south in the hills I know I ahve well over 200 sections of land with permission, that is just in my local area, farther norht there is way more but I don't hunt it much till after deer season! I would say in the whole, area I talked above there is only abotu 5 sections I can not hunt and they let no one on, and abotu 5 more I cna hunt coyotes but not deer! I spend abotu 2 weeks in august spottign and going from rancher to rancher and farmer, i ahve a RM map I mark the ones who tell em go ahead and not call back next year and the new ones or ones who do not know me I mark in a different color and call then every year, or stop by!Most are very happy to ahve soemone huntign them with a caller, lots even coem out for a day, they just hate the chasing them that is doen later with snowmobiles!
