slughunter Posted January 22, 2006 Report Share Posted January 22, 2006 Im a little late on this this post but i have to recomend this grunt call to everyone. I really like using grunt calls wile hunting and this is the first year i have used this particular call and it is awsome. one of the hunts i used it on was on november 8. it was close to the peak of the rut here in WI and so i decided to take out the call and give it a try. i got in the stand and let out short grunt and about 30 seconds later a small 6 pointer came right under my stand, so i grabed my bow and shot but missed. so about 10 minutes later i called agan and a spike came right for the stand. so i called to see how close i could get him and i look behind me and a nice 8 pointer was coming in so i grab my bow and get ready for shot but he saw me and bolted away along with the spike. so i waited about 15 minutes and called again. well to my suprise the same 8 pointer started coming in right in front of me. so i grabbed my bow and waited for a shot but he turned to the side and went up a trail out of sight. so i called again and about 10 seconds later he came back about 10 yards in front of me. so i drew my bow and settled my 10 yard pin right behind the shoulder and released the arrow but unfortunately the arrow went to the left and hit him in the front shoulder. so left the deer for the night and i followed the trail for over 700 yards but then it ended and i couldent recover the deer. thats just one of the experiences i had with this call along with others good encounters and i highly highly HIGHLY recomend this call to everyone. Guest lovinbowhuntin247365 Posted January 23, 2006 Report Share Posted January 23, 2006 Re: True Talker is a must have see, heres the bad: i havent used the true talkeer myself, but i have the Rod Benson Game Call, and i absolutely love it!! my best friend has a true talker and a rod benson call, and he says the rod benson call outperforms the true talker by a mile!! i am very pleased with the rod benson call.
