doughboy1956
Being new to the site I posted this yesterday in miscellanous, when it should have been here, i hope. Like the subject says, i recorded a new deer vocalization. What do i do now? I contacted several call companies but they want me to send them the call. It was recorded by me using a camcorder and its not ready for use as of yet.I would like to get a far better quality recording before going any farter with this. I had a small buck making the new vocal right below my tree stand a few years back, but i did not have a recorder with me at the time. I can get them to call back to me at least two times a day for several minutes every time i go into the woods. They seem to come within a hundred yards or so than circle me. It is very hard to get a good recording at that distance. Has anyone got any suggestions?
Ravin R10 man
Re: I recorded a new whitetail vocalization I dont want to throw cold water on your discovery, but I seriously doubt that you have anything that has not been heard in the whitetail world. Purhaps a variation of a call is what Id guess?? get in contact with Will Primos, and go from there.
doughboy1956
Re: I recorded a new whitetail vocalization I played it to the pro staff at Primos over the phone oneida man. They never hear that call before, but said it was very interesting, and asked if i would send it to them. I have many call backs recorded but like i said, i want to get a call up closer before i go any farter with it.
rockefeller66
Re: I recorded a new whitetail vocalization ummm...That sounds interesting, I would keep at it until you got what you wanted then don't be afraid to work with Primos or anyone like that, just might be sitting on a gold mine! huntinsonovagun
Re: I recorded a new whitetail vocalization If they're THAT predictable, I'd get several tape recorders, set them out and then work your magic. Hopefully they'll be by one of the recorders when they're doing their thing.... If that works, you owe me....
Stinger-Hunter
Re: I recorded a new whitetail vocalization Don't send anyone your recordings. Play it for them, then get a lawyer.
doughboy1956
Re: I recorded a new whitetail vocalization Don,t get me wrong. I,m certainly not afraid to work with Primos. They are true professionals, and treaded me very good, when i contacted them by phone, and played the new deer vocals. I never asked them to help because i know they are booked up for years in advance. I will dig out their phone numbers and ask this time. Hopefully they can sqeese me in. You all should hear the new vocals soon, if Primos can fine the time.

AdvantageTimberLou
Re: I recorded a new whitetail vocalization If you think you got something and its legit, then run with it. Don't let the big companies take it from you and use it thereself. Maybe try and patent it or make your own call duplicating the recording. Good luck with it! Hope it works out great for you!! doughboy1956
Re: I recorded a new whitetail vocalization Lou, no one can get a patent for a sound, but i did get a copyright, for whats its worth. No Ohiobucks, its not a deer breaking wind ROFL, I,am just bad at spelling. And huntin, sonovagun i tryed the tape recorders on the tree,s and it seems to work the best so far. Just have to get more recorders this year. Thanks all and keep the idea,s coming.
