Re: bowhunting il

Lynnwood is in Kendall Co. which is right at the edge of the Chicago southwest suburbs.

map.jpg

According to the preliminary Illinois archery deer harvest numbers in 2005-06, 222 deer were harvested in Kendall Co., which is in the bottom 10 of the state for archery. According to the preliminary Illinois firearms deer harvest numbers in 2005, Kendall Co. hunters harvested 135 deer, which was next to last in deer harvested with a firearm.

Also from the IL DNR website concerning non-resident archers...

Non-Residents - 2006 application dates to be determined. Please note the following:

- The cost of a Non-Resident Archery Deer Combination permit (one either-sex/one antlerless) will be $375.00. The quota will be 20,000 for Non-Resident combination tags.

- The cost of a Non-Resident Archery Deer Antlerless permit (available over the counter) will be $10.00 and there is no quota.

- In addition to a valid deer hunting permit ALL hunters are required to purchase either a 5-Day (28.75) OR Annual (50.75) Hunting License AND a Habitat Stamp (5.50). These prices do not reflect convenience fees that may be incurred.

- There is an Outfitter's Preference for a maximum 7500 permit applications that are designated with an Outfitter Number (this is part of the 20,000 quota). Hunters that are unsuccessful in the Outfitter draw will be automatically placed into the general draw.

- We will allow group hunts but groups will be assigned one number for the entire group (an all or nothing situation).

Re: bowhunting il

I've done a little more looking, and do you know if the Lynnwood I found is the correct one because there is also a Lynnwood in neighboring LaSalle Co. which is approximately 50 miles from the previous Lynnwood I mentioned. From what I've found, neither has it's own zipcode, and I guess aren't technically towns. Here's another map showing both...

One is in Kendall Co. and the other in LaSalle. Check the above links I posted for harvest information regarding LaSalle Co. Also check out the following link to look for public hunting areas in those areas.

Also, there is a Lynwood, IL in the south suburbs of Chicago. You might want to really check what county the land owner is in before agreeing to anything. I hope I'm helping you out and not confusing you. grin.gif
