Best Bet for Caribou?

Hey guys, if a person with somewhat limited time and VERY limited funds wanted to come up on a Caribou hunt would there be any suggestions on how/where/etc? I have a few buddies who have hunted Caribou and said they do their hunt with airfare (I'd rather drive) camp, guide, etc. for $5000 bucks: Is this the going rate, or could a guy find someone who would be willing to tell them when to come, I would like to hunt with Archery gear, I understand no hunt is a guarantee, but I am looking for someone who says, this is when to come, you can hunt outta my place, and go home: I would be more than happy to provide a MN bear hunt (in the same way) or a duck hunt, pheasant hunt, etc......I just want to find a way for me to get a big ol' Caribou! O.K.....even a small one :-) Any thoughts, or suggestions or does a guy need to spend $5000? If I could find a way to do it with a guide, I would be more than happy to do some promotions through websites, and even through Television show/productions if I could bring a crew for Television...any thoughts???? How about 4 guys, coming up and getting in on the migration, in exchange for a T.V. show giving credit to the guide/ going throughout MN and ND??? Any thoughts?

Thanks as this is something I really want to do!
