Re: Ever missed a deer?

Yes, I went through a stretch were I didn't miss a deer for 4 or 5 years then I have missed one the past couple of years. It's unfortunate but that happens to the best of us!

[ QUOTE ]

where can I hunt and harvest 7 deer in one year? Does Delaware have a liberal deer harvest quota?

[/ QUOTE ]....yes we do, when you buy your license, you get 4 doe tags, then you buy your buck tag and your allowed 2 bucks....you can keep buying your doe tags for $10, or you get crop damage tags on certain properties.....in md., you shoot 6 doe's & a buck each season, arch , mz., rifle.....then you can buy extra buck tags also....come over to delaware we got plenty!!!!! grin.gifgrin.gif

Re: Ever missed a deer?

What weapon?

Rifle, I think missed a doe at about 175 yards, but shot her with a second shot when the group of does all stayed standing there. Have lost one with the rifle, a pretty decent 8 pointer that was hit good, that disappeared at the river, where we suspect that one of the leasees of the property behind us got to the deer before I did.

Bow, I have had two clean misses, one on a really nice 8 pointer at about 30 yards when my string slapped my parka, causing just enough of a deflection to send my arrow off.

Muzzleloader, have hit 2 that I never found with an old side lock carbine that I do not hunt with anymore, but never missed any with the muzzleloader.
