popgun
Re: 500 S&W? Gun go bang. Bigger gun make bigger bang. Bigger gun+bigger bang=bigger fun. Go for it. ....popgun
HarvDog
Re: 500 S&W? Looks like an incredibly awesome gun BUT I wouldn't consider it a "concealable".

WNY_Whitetailer
Re: 500 S&W? [ QUOTE ] I would look at the same gun in 460. [/ QUOTE ] I agree with Zoobear...Cheaper factory ammo...The ability to "plink" using 45lc or 454 ammo....There is also the cool factor of being able to state that you have the hottest handgun around that will rival the muzzle velocity of a 30-30 rifle... Of course if you purchase the 500 then you will certainly own the king of the mountain in handguns...
Idaho_ Elk_ Huntr
Re: 500 S&W? I was wanting it for moose, elk and bears. Im not worried about the cost of ammo. I have a small ammo factory in the next room. So you think a 460 would be better?
Guest 2500HD
Re: 500 S&W? I was considering the PC 500 also but have since changed my mind since the 460 came out. Just sold two guns and can get the 460 but I am going to save a few more $$$ and spring for the PC 460. Almost there!
WNY_Whitetailer
Re: 500 S&W? Oh yah...and don't forget to double up on ear protection when shooting either one of these cannons...That recoil compensator really sends the boom back at you. hangunnr
Re: 500 S&W? [ QUOTE ] So you think a 460 would be better? [/ QUOTE ] I agree that the 460 would be a better choice. There are far more choices in bullet type available in 45 cal than 50 cal. With a Partition or A frame style bullet you will be able to produce a load that'll shoot end to end through any critter here in North America. Some of the super hard cast bullets are great performers too. hangunnr
