dg
I was just watching ESPN Sportscenter and they announced Rusty Wallace as a commentator. That boy will be able to tell us what is going on.
Chrud
Re: Rusty Wallace as a Commentator He's doing IRL next year and then should join NASCRAP once ESPN/ABC picks it up in 2007.

RTF
Re: Rusty Wallace as a Commentator I thought he wanted a break and to be home with family. Being a commentator is just as demanding as being a driver. Just don't make sense. Retire means retire.
tedicast
Re: Rusty Wallace as a Commentator He will definately be knowledgable in the booth, but I'm not sure I can deal with his arrogance. A lot of times he just acts like he is better then everyone else.
VABuckSlayer
Re: Rusty Wallace as a Commentator I think he will do well. RTF... I don't think he has to worry about all the sponser commitments and testing and all that stuff during the weekanymore. He just has to show up for the weekend. Guess he doesn't have enough money too retire yet. Eric

texastrophies
Re: Rusty Wallace as a Commentator Hard to give up the lime light. The only driver that I would like to see become a commentator when (if) he retires is Kenny Schrader. I think he would do a great job. DW needs to retire again, I think I will probably feel the same way about Rusty and Mikey (when he gets there).

So, I kinda like him in the booth. Is he annoying...heck yeah he is, but you just gotta laugh at him. Rusty will be able to give hands on info, for sure. He is just to arrogant for my liking.
