VTbowman
Well here are the 1st pics of my new firearms set ups. Got me a Bullberry custom barrel in 7mm.08 with muzzle brake and hanger bar attached forend which free-floats it. Topped with a 3-9x32 Burris scope. This rig is well over a 250 yard shooter...!!! Also got the Encore 209x50 ML barrel for it to extend my season some with the pistol. Still needs some new grips and a scope for the ML but its a start... AJ
Re: New Encore pistol pics... Very nice setup! Now lets see if you can make it be useful at 250 yards. LOL! What's wrong with those grips? They will work just fine.
VTbowman
Re: New Encore pistol pics... Thanks for the kind comments. AJ- I plan to keep them since the ML forend and grip are a set, but have had the "Ole Georgia Jims" grip and forend bug bite me. I like his laminate sets.... njbowhntr
Re: New Encore pistol pics... Nice looking rig. Hopefully someday my pennies will add up enough to get me one of those. Good luck with it.
VTbowman
Re: New Encore pistol pics... Question for you woodworkers out there. Based on the pics, what wood do you think the 7mm08 forend is? (The grip is T/Cs walnut.) It does not look to be walnut. The grain is simular but it also has kinda that wavy look to it like curly maple, but not the same grain as curly maple. The grain looks (to me anyways) like a cross between walnut and white oak. (???) The previous owner did not know. Its made by Bullberry Barrel Works but I can not tell by looking on there site. (they do not list there woods with the pics) Thanks for any input. IowaDeerHunter
Re: New Encore pistol pics... Where do you get a ML pistol barrel for an encore? Do they have to be custom, or does TC make certain barrels for the ecnore in pistol form? And can you buy a regular TC pistol barrel and put it on an encore or do you have to buy a short encore barrel?

They run around $265 to $285 not including the wood forend. However I would just keep an eye out on Ebay and get it cheaper and with the forend too. Any Encore barrel (15" to 28") will fit on any Encore frame. HOWEVER it is illegal to take an Encore rifle frame (the trigger part), remove the rifle barrel, and put a pistol barrel on it. You can take a pistol frame and put a rifle barrel on it and be legal. It has to do with what the gun is listed as, serial number wise with the ATF. But yes it can be done either way. VTbowman
Re: New Encore pistol pics... Here is the link to the T/C Custom Shop. You can see they can make just about every caliber you could want. http://www.foxridgeoutfitters.com/section.cfm?section=16 Here is the ML barrel link their too. http://www.foxridgeoutfitters.com/detail.cfm?section=16&subsection=150,186&product=3495 There are a few other custom barrel makers out there that make much better shooting barrel for the Encore too. Good Luck.
