Guest Finn
Re: Toilet seats You know, in my life I've never heard a man complain that the seat was left up and it was someone else's fault if he didn't notice it. (we need it down too, sometimes) Maybe you girls need to take a little responsibility for a little thing like this. JimT
Re: Toilet seats LMAO! I have been trained to put the seat and lid down. Always. I should leave it up some night to see if I can get my wife to fall in..... Actually,,,I cannot do that. If my 7 year old daughter fell in it would not be so funny for me. elkoholic
Re: Toilet seats Well, I think that the seat and lid should always be down when the toilet is not in use. In fact, the lid should by down prior to flushing to help in containing the bacteria within the toilet. There have been many studies on this subject and everything in the bathroom (basically the whole house) gets covered in coliform bacteria (and others) caused by the aerolization during the flushing process. Closing the lid helps minimize that. So, the next time you flush and then brush your teeth you are just recycling the bacteria. Pleasant thought. elkoholic
Re: Toilet seats Was that the one on the ten second rule? As long as whatever you dropped on the floor was hard and dry it would not pick up any bacteria, but if it was wet (your toothbrush) it held on to the bacteria rather well.
