First homebrew

Hi guys, I`m thinking of building a homebrew, I`m leaning towards the D360L, this would be my first build, so the plug & play seems to be the easiest to do. Is the D360L a good choice? Also does anyone know if the camera hides its date and time?

Thanks

Joe

I just like to clear something up, when I asked if the D360L hides the date and time, I meant does the camera give you date and time on the picture ( I don`t think it does ) or is it hidden on file making you use visualmediasotfware from PixController to get the date and time on the picture.

Re: First homebrew

I've never used a d-360L. I went straight to a P41 with minimal electrical knowledge. It wasn't incredibly easy but there really isn't any risk of ruining the camera by opening it up because you don't have to solder directly to the camera. That's how I justified starting out with it.

But the d360 is still a good choice if you don't feel confortable opening up the cam at all. I don't think the camera prints the time/date on the picture but I'm pretty sure it is saved as a property of the picture. So you can still find out when it was taken and if you have visual media explorer, it will automatically print the time and date on the picture just like a camera would.

Hope this clears some things up.

Re: First homebrew

Thanks Bond, I know you seen my post on several forums, I like a lot of input before I get into a project and if I`m going to build I like to build something good. I could not download the visual media explorer from the web site so there sending me a CD.

Thanks Agaim

Joe
