LifeNRA
ThermaCELL Partners with Realtree ThermaCELL, the leading manufacturer of area mosquito repellent portable appliances has signed a licensing agreement with Jordan Outdoor Enterprises, Ltd. to produce the ThermaCELL appliance in the Realtree Hardwoods Green HD camouflage pattern. ThermaCELL, a division of The Schawbel Corporation utilizes patented technology to create cordless, portable appliances powered by replaceable butane cartridges. The relationship with Realtree combines unrivaled performance with the leading camouflage pattern in the outdoor industry. “Consumers who try our product instantaneously become loyal customers because ThermaCELL revolutionizes the hunting experience by eliminating irritating bugs without applying smelly lotions or creams to the skin. Our relationship with Realtree makes ThermaCELL even more desirable to those who take hunting and outdoor activities seriously,” said William Schawbel, chief executive officer for Schawbel Corporation. “When I go hunting, I always bring my ThermaCELL. I want to give myself every advantage for a successful hunt, and my aim is much better when I don’t have mosquitoes or black flies buzzing around my head,” said Bill Jordan, founder of Jordan Outdoor Enterprises. “Our partnership with ThermaCELL is a win-win for hunters.” According to government testing, ThermaCELL Mosquito Repellent creates a zone of protection that is up to 98 percent effective against mosquitoes and other biting insects. It operates on a single butane cartridge, which heats a mat and releases repellent into the air creating a 15 x 15 ft bug-free area. Best of all, the repellent is undetectable to game. The scientists at The Schawbel Corporation patented the ThermaCELL technology, which uses a synthetic analog (chemical copy) of a natural insecticide, pyrethrin, found in the pyrethum flower, a member of the chrysanthemum family, to repel mosquitoes and other biting insects. ThermaCELL Mosquito Repellent is registered with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Pending EPA approval, the Realtree ThermaCELL appliance will be available by late summer. The most effective area repellent available, the device is as small as a television remote control (7-1/2 inches long). ThermaCELL Mosquito Repellent products and refills can be purchased at mass merchants, hardware stores and outdoor stores. For product information, contact Pauline O’Keeffe at 1-8-NO-SKEETERS or for store locations consumers may visit thermacell.com.

iabow
Re: Cool! I Got To Get Me One Of These!!! It takes about 10-15 mins to start working, after that forget about the blood suckers. Warning don't go catfishing at night and turn it off thinking the skeeters aren't out cause you haven't seen any .

VtBowhunter
Re: Cool! I Got To Get Me One Of These!!! Excellent product, but remember that it only works if you're standing still as it puts out a cloud around you.......if you start to walk then the cloud stays behind, and you'll be fair game to the skeeters again. unioncountyslayer
Re: Cool! I Got To Get Me One Of These!!! Well, mine is just in the traditional green, but it works like a charm. Down here in NC the mosquitos, better known as the state bird, are usually flying through November, so I never leave the house without mine

VtBowhunter
Re: Cool! I Got To Get Me One Of These!!! And it won't do a bit of good against horseflies.......we still have to look out for them here even with the thermocell.
RangerClay
Re: Cool! I Got To Get Me One Of These!!! Some of my friends have them and they say that they work GREAT! I looked into them myself and they seemed expensive to refill. The cards are only good for about 3 hours. After you spend $25 you have to keep buying cylinders and cards. I will wear a head net Ranger
JaySee
Re: Cool! I Got To Get Me One Of These!!! I used one this season and it is amazing. It didnt affect deer at all and I never go bit once by a skeeter when it was on. You can tell when it runs out too its automatic that the bugs come back. Then refill and they are gone again. Regardless, it is still worth having with you.
vagobbln
Re: Cool! I Got To Get Me One Of These!!! Great product. My understanding is that Thermocell is also coming out with deer scent cartridges to use in it too. Haven't seen them yet though.
Guest SLBDEERHUNTER
Re: Cool! I Got To Get Me One Of These!!! I love my Thema cell. It worked great for me, I place mine on the 4 wheeler while cutting wood and putting stands this year and it covered most of the area I was in.
