unioncountyslayer
My Dad and me both got a H&R Ultra SlugHunter 12 gauge for Christmas. It is suppose to shoot 3" shells but my dad's has already jammed twice and the 3" shell won't eject after fired. I have been shooting 2-3/4" shells out of mine and havn't had any trouble. Have any of you experienced this problem?
WNY_Whitetailer
Re: H&R Slug gun? Hmmm...Never heard of that happening...I shoot 2 3/4" shells out of my USH...Have your father take a good look at the ejector to make sure that no machine shavings made their way into the mechanism. Some times those H&R shotguns come from the factory with minute shavings down under the action. He might have to remove the barrel to really get in that area. It's no big deal. Just remove the forend screw and drop the forend down. Then break open the action, the barrel will break open far enough to be removed. Clean any tiny shavings out of the action area and reverse the removal process to re-install the barrel.

archerjg
Re: H&R Slug gun? I have shot both 2 3/4" and 3" out of mine and it has ejected fine. Check the ejector for debris. Archerjg
