Squirrel Contest Standings

Re: Squirrel Contest Standings

Well I tried and I failed. Saturday was it for me as season is now over. It was raining and miserable and the scope on the .22 fogged up to where I couldn't see!

Saw some squirrels with the natural eye but couldn't see them with the scope!

Its my dads .22 and the scope is very small. Thus the lack of sunlight didn't help any in addition to the fog. *SIGH* I'm gonna replace the scope with a bigger and better one.

Update on the prizes for the winners!

Along with the prestige of being the best squirrel killers on the forum, smirk.gif, Scott has committed to a prize for the winning team.

I don't know what they are yet, but I suggested hat, T-shirt, or DVD of some sort.

More to follow. cool.gif

Re: Squirrel Contest Standings

I have one class cancelled all next week, and the weather is going to get nice at the end, not to mention I have a week long break starting the 25 of February so maybe I can get 3 more to make the 5 squirrel contest limit. Good luck squirrelhunter; they can be tricky in the winter. Do you have any tips that help you squirrel hunt in the winter?

Dang Ruth.. sorry for getting back to you now.. this time of the year I just like to find a spot where there is good sunlight & areas where they are normally looking for food, like in oak trees and stuff like that. I just plop my lazy butt down and wait. If nothing is crackalackin within about 20 minutes or so, I get up and move. If all else fails, there is always the birdseed alternative. grin.giftongue.gif
