arrow32
Hope they can win it. If he really does retire which he says he is this would be the highlight of his career. Lets go bus.
buckbuster11
Re: Bettis You bet!! But lets get this misconception cleared up in here. Bus has never once said he is going to retire. Its probably going to happen, but he is still undecided.

[/ QUOTE ] Just what is that supposed to mean? He's the 5th all time career rusher ahead of some of history's greats, and he's a lock for the Hall-Of-Fame........I can't believe you're still bitter, lol. Bettis never said he'ld retire, but he's had folks say things like "With your career ending after this season, how great would it be to go a Champion?", and he hasn't contradicted them. I REALLY want the Steelers to win it for him.

Ohiobucks
Re: Bettis Did anyone else hear that he is from Detroit? Seems like that is all you hear on ESPN or talk radio, Bettis this, Detroit that, he needs 100+ tickets for friends and family, Bettis Detroit, Detroit Bettis, so on and so on...... buckbuster11
Re: Bettis What it means is the Colts fans are all bitter and ticked off because they spent 4 months in here telling us they were going to sleep walk into the super bowl and ended up not even winning a playoff game...again. [/ QUOTE ] No...Im ticked because I've been a season ticket holder since 'Captain Comeback' played, and have watched a Colts team that averaged 5 pro bowlers in 5 different years not get passed the conferance championship. And is that rule still in the books that says ONLY Kordell Stewart is allowed to go out of bounds and re-enter to catch a ball?
Guest psejake16
Re: Bettis And why is everyone making a big deal out of Ben Roethlessomething's leg tackle? I mean he tackled a guy that was stabbed in the knee the night before the game by his wife, was playing with 20 stitches in his knee, and wasnt even 90% on Saturday from his hamstring problem back vs Arizona. Not to mention Nick ran straight to him. Jeff George would have made the same tackle.
arrow32
Re: Bettis He is a quarter back pse.lol And that was diffently pretty much a shoe string tackle even so it was still amazing that he was able to get it together and that i think. Ben made a great tackle and your boy only had 4 stitches so get it right. You're bitter because the Colts couldn't get it done, and even if Ben misses that tackle the Colts would not have deserved to win due to the bad call on Polamalu's Interception. Pittsburgh was the better team and they whooped the Colts and the Officials.

As I said previously Im 'bitter' because I've been a season ticket holder since Harbough's final year and have had to go through heartbreak after heartbreak. Nick Harper was stabbed Sat. night before the game and according to Bill Polian, the wound was 1in. by 1/2in. On the report there is nowhere where they mention the # of stiches but Im guessing if its that big of a gash theres bound to be double digits. And if you wanna talk about bad calls how about the 95 game where the ref swallowed the whistle on Kordell's OB TD. And he wasnt pushed out, Ive watched it about 50 times on espn classic and the NFL networks vintage replay. If there was replay in 95 the Colts would have gone to the Super Bowl. Jimmy and the guys deserved it after all they pulled through that year.

VtBowhunter
Re: Bettis The "stabbing" was all they talked about during the game, and several times they mentioned that he only needed 4 stitches. You have season tickets, so you're a huge fan which is great, but don't get down on teams that make it to the Superbowl.......Steelers fans suffered through the Kordell Stewart years.......you'll have your turn.
