toddyboman
Re: Marylandbowman\'s big buck pic WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that is an awesome buck. you have got to find those sheds. Think at what he could be next year. He does look young. Whats up with his right shoulder area. Did he get his butt kicked by another buck, or did a car hit him and skipp him down the road.... looks weird... but look at those horns.....WOW

If it was a photo-shopped pic, it was done by an expert

Mirage
Re: Marylandbowman\'s big buck pic Jack Poole dosnt have the state record anymore, it was broken by a guy on the eastern shore from what i have heard. I was hunting in mong. county the day jack poole shot his record buck it was the state record at the time. His partents owned the pooles store. A country atore that sold feed and such. It was my first season hunting. I remeber going into the pooles store and getting peanut brittle, checking the clip board on the door to see what was checked in and there it was on the wall in the back of the store on the left side of the store the antlers and skull cap of the new state record. I thought oh my GOD!! It looked like a tree trunk that had been uprooted and stuck to a deers skull cap. I never saw a set of horns like this and it kept me in my tree stand the rest of that season with hopes that maybe i could get a deer like that. Man what a great memory
Guest marylandbowman
Re: Marylandbowman\'s big buck pic i hunted poolesville back then to. I remeber when he killed that buck as well. I used to hunt on a turf farm at the time.it was located on river rd past mcgee state land. I dont know if that record has been broken yet.I know the typical record was broken on the eastern shore. My hunting buddie killed a REAL nice 10 pointer off of maceebeasher last year. It was his first time hunting there opening day of blackpowder season, with his bow on the ground, can you believe that. Do you still hunt in poolesville? I Just got some private property in poolesville to hunt last year and its working out great
