It was pretty easy, the toughest part is stripping the old fletching off. I found a little heat works great.

LifeNRA, the offset is 1 degree.

Wigs,, a SheetRock Knife with a dull blade works great for stripping those fletchings off,, and distilled alcohol works great for cleaning any glue residue off from the shaft... wink.gifwink.gif

Now the true question. Will you ever scrape glue again when you can buy wraps so cheap?

Re: First attempt at fletching and wrapping

thats off set buckee they are straight fletched offset 1 degree. It gives it a very slight helix. I have helixed clamps also, but they were too much.

No I don't think I will have to scrape glue again. Other than the few I have left to do, I believe I will be buying bare shafts from now on.
