Hillbilly
I went and visited my grandma, and while I was there I saw 40 turkeys down in the huge corn field. I grabbed my birnoculars and went down there to glass the field. After about 10 minutes of glassing the field I heard a loud grunt coming from my left. 4 does came in running with a nice 10 point behind them, during the year I never saw this buck. He has a heavy body and great mass. Didn't have a camera on me, but I did notice that he was checking the does as a couple of the does urinated in the field he was all over it. As the does kept moving he was right on their trail. I hate to see late breeding and have the fawn born in October or November and have a hard time finding food, but thats nature I guess. Are the bucks still chasing in your area?? CASEY

Tominator
Re: Bucks are still chasing does here in Southern, IN I imagine there's some fawns coming into estrous for the first time. As mild as it has been, I'm not surprised.
rockefeller66
Re: Bucks are still chasing does here in Southern, IN ya some of them doe fawns are probably getting to be big enough, that is funny when someone down south talks about how the rut is heating up in Jan/Feb! I guess being from IA I keep thinking how the deer season is over!
Guest ILclimber
Re: Bucks are still chasing does here in Southern, IN Every now and then you'll catch a buck chasing right now. Hard to say, but I have seen this before. It's unique but it happens sometimes.

Guest INHunterman
Re: Bucks are still chasing does here in Southern, IN Indiana didn't have much of a rut this year. I think the moon knocked us off a little bit. I'm suprised he still had his antlers.

dodge4x4
Re: Bucks are still chasing does here in Southern, IN I've only seen one....but I've gone out walking everyday and sat in this same stand just to watch every night, and every night this same buck comes out of the same spot chasing does. Kinda crazy man.
