Jeramie Posted November 15, 2004 Report Share Posted November 15, 2004 Saturday I actually got to do a little bow hunting. Unfortunately it was really windy. I had one doe and a button buck that almost come into range. They never crossed that line so I let them walk. It was really to windy to have a ton of luck so we decided to get out of the stands (me and my brother). It was about 35deg. It was already mid-morning so we didn't have much time to hunt. We had our granddad's birthday party to get ready for (at 2:00). We borrowed a couple of .410's from dad and went out for an hour. We shot one right off on the way back to the woods. We were actually driving and saw him running so we pulled over and headed to open field. He hit some trees but didn't last long. They squirrels were really active and I had shot 3-more in roughly 30-minutes. My brother took one more shot and hit the squirrel but the little .410 was pushed at its limits at that distance. He made it to his hole. It was still a pretty good morning. I love deer season but come January im hitting the tree Rats hard! Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
