AJ
Remington's new entry in the muzzleloading market is the Genesis. Its an economical way to get into muzzleloading (read its cheap) as its MSRP is $280 for a blued gun with synthetic stock. It has a 28" barrel and a rotating TorchCam™ action that seals the ignition from the elements. The gun has an exposed hammer that uses a transfer bar system to deliver inertia to the firing pin. This is for safety so the falling hammer will not come into contact with the firing pin unless the trigger is pulled. There is also a crossbolt safety for those not smart enough to keep the hammer down prior to shooting. The guns come in blued with synthetic stock, they are available in stainless steel with synthetic stock, and fluted stainless with synthetic or laminated stocks. AJ
Re: Remington Genesis™ I dunno, I guess the saying is true, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Or is it beauty is skin deep, ugly goes to the bone. Judging just from the pics on the web site, it looks like a cheezy piece of crap to me. Maybe in the hands its different, but so far I hate the lines. Hopefully, they will do a 3D rendering of the gun to see it at all angles. VTbowman
Re: Remington Genesis™ I agree with AJ on this one (for a change-LOL) I expected better out of Remington. Not saying its a bad gun, I dunno, I have not held it or shot it. But by the pics I would not run down to even look at it closer. JMO (And this is coming from a guy whos family always owned Remingtons over anything else...)

WABS
Re: Remington Genesis™ I guess I don't get too hung up on the looks. How well is it put together, what does it feel like in my hands, what kind of sights are on it, and how does it shoot???
Guest HaDeRonDa
Re: Remington Genesis™ I'll keep my Omega. Maybe Remington would sell more if they modeled a gun after A&H A good name company that is ruining themselves little by little. All for the sake of what? It really makes you wonder. PA_RIDGE_RUNNER
Re: Remington Genesis™ I suspect this rifle is not made by remington. From what I have read this rifle is made in the same factory in spain that CVA, Traditions, Winchester and several others are made. For that very reason I am not buying one. Yep this is a very biased opinion.
Ohiobucks
Re: Remington Genesis™ I don't know about the rest of you guys and gals, but I'm kinda fond of a wood finished gun vs. all the synthetic and synthetic camo guns out there nowadays. These guns just look cheap to me. JMO.
