TurkeyHunter
I just bought a Cabela's Lightning Set Rifleman Blind. Should I buy some kind of spray and use it to help keep it water repellant? Last longer ect.. Thanks!
Mach1
Re: Water Repellent for your hunting blind? My dad and I talked briefly with Alex Rutledge of the HS Prostaff last year at the Bass Pro in St. Louis about blinds. He said he uses a type of spray silicone I believe that you can find in the camping section of most sporting goods stores. He said he sprays it on the seams of his blinds and never has water leak through.

popgun
Re: Water Repellent for your hunting blind? I use Camp Dry (heavy duty water repellent). It is made by Kiwi, and is usually available at Wally World. I spray my blind liberally once every season and my boots twice per season. The stuff works great. Some of the larger seams in the blind will still leak to some extent, but this stuff will seal most of the fabric and help against damage from ultra violet light. The fabric on Ameristep Blinds will still fade if left out the entire season, but a light dusting of Camo Spray Paint will take out the shine. ....popgun
wtnhunt
Re: Water Repellent for your hunting blind? [ QUOTE ] I use Camp Dry (heavy duty water repellent). [/ QUOTE ] Thats what I would probably use too. Pretty sure there are also tent treatments available to water proof canvas and tents that would probably work well.
