Early Spring Good Or Bad?

Re: Early Spring Good Or Bad?

I don't think it matters much either way as far as hunting goes. The hens start nesting about the same time of the year each year anyway. The turkey hunting has always been pretty good from mid March to about April 23rd down here. Gobbling activity usually starts winding down around that time, give or take a few days. By the end of our season (May 1st) finding a gobbling bird gets pretty hard.

Personally I'd rather have spring green up starting early. It's not anything to do with the birds actions but gives me more cover to relocate if I need to. wink.gif
