Re: Greatest Bow Trophy

The greatest bow trophy to me is a mature whitetail buck by stalking/stillhunting. The second greatest is a mature mule deer buck by stalking/stillhunting. I personally put a stalked/stillhunted mule deer buck ahead of any stand-hunted animal, and a stalked whitetail with a bow seems to be slightly more of a challenge than a stalked mule deer to me.

I'd have to say elk with the bow. What other animal ,that size interacts with the hunter?

I want a elk as close as Will Primos got to one. Ever see that clip when the elk charges right past him at 3 yards and he rips off his face mask and says" Dame-it!" with big buggy eyes.

I want to get that close. wink.gif

Boys boys until you've spot and stalk hunted big mulies you haven't truly lived-I live in whitetail heaven and I love hunting them but when I head south and get my yearly mulie fix I'm in heaven-I have trouble sitting still in a treestand so just love hunting all day on the move like mulie hunting is.

There is nothing like the thrill of calling a mature bull elk that is ready to go blows with you, within bow range. Makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up, your heart race and your body tremble. Although a kodiak might take you all the way to the edge.

The neighbors cat that keeps crappin' in my daughters sand-box. He hears the back-door open and takes off. I think I'll have to lose the screen and leave the door shut. It should score about 15 3/8 and qualify for Pope and Young in the local feline book.

I'll post pics when I get him
