Guest watermel
This particular part of the land is a sandy soil in the river bottoms. By clearing some useless trees we have been able to get some growth of underbrush but I'm looking for a type of grass or bush that would thrive in a sandy soil. Texan_Til_I_Die
Re: whitetail plot in sandy bottom I plant in very sandy soil too, but I suspect that there would be a vast difference in rainfall between West Texas and your area. For what it's worth, I usually stick to traditional farming crops, rather than the designer crops you see that are strictly for deer. I plant milo and/or red top cane in the Spring and wheat in the fall.
