VermontHunter
Re: Ben didn\'t get in Hate to say it,,, but I was wrong once again.... ,, I went back and watched it again,,, and Josh is right the ball was breaking the plain when Ben was in the air.... and then he gets hit from behind from one of his own players and then gets nailed by a Seahawk.... and boy did he get nailed.... I'll give this to Ben he's one tuff dude....
pa_sportsman
Re: Ben didn\'t get in I agree that the ball did break the plane of the goal line...touchdown. The Seattle receiver did push off to gain separation...offensive pass interference. The holding call on Locklear... I don't believe that either team played very well. Each team had its chances. Pittsburgh made more of its opportunities and won. HERE WE GO STEELERS, HERE WE GO!!
arrow32
Re: Ben didn\'t get in I have watched and watched that on tv and such saw it on a website and during the game. There is no way that wasnt a touchdown. Good thing im a Steelers fan.
Chrud
Re: Ben didn\'t get in Maybe the run should be changed to the ball having to completely cross the line. Good picture Josh. It's hard to argue with that.
PAbowhunter4life
Re: Ben didn\'t get in [ QUOTE ] go back and watch this play again... Ben's knee is clearly down well before the ball ever reaches the point of getting close to the goal line.... There for he is down and the play is dead.... [/ QUOTE ] WOW are we stretching now lol . The ball crossed the plane while he was in mid air, it is plain and simple, from every angle I have watched. His knee hits the ground about 2 seconds after that photo is taken. I love it, proof is posted to show the "know it alls" that it CLEARLY WAS A TD, but now there's ahwole new approach to the phantom call as opposed to just admitting they you were wrong LMAO
PAbowhunter4life
Re: Ben didn\'t get in Let's talk about what Seattle got away with.... 1.) Illegal block in the black on Roethlisberger during that interception return. NOT CALLED 2.) Winstrom lined up in the neutral zone about 5 or 6 times. NOT CALLED 3.) There were at least 4 cases of holding against Porter and Hagans that WEREN'T called. 4.) How about the late hit out of bounds on Ward. NOT CALLED 5.) How about the Seahawks only TD being scored on an ILLEGAL pick that the refs let slide. NOT CALLED If you want more, I'll continue.... Anyways, I will now analyze what the Seahawks did right and wrong: RIGHT: Found the stadium WRONG: Were not psychologically or physically prepared. Matt Hasselbeck BEGGING for cheers earlier in the week was a sure sign of a poor mental readiness. To boot, how do you get BURNED on a gadget play in the Super Bowl????? Knowing the Steelers and how often they like to run things like that from midfield, how did Seattle not prepare for that? Poor game planning if you ask me. Biggest sign was Holmgren crying to the ref about Ben's TD, which I posted a picture of earlier and it is CLEARLY a TD. How often do you see Holmgren act like a kid??? Missed 2 field goals Dropped 137 balls Managed the clock poorly Abandoned the run way too early Assumed that their little "dink and dunk" passing would work How about the receivers from Seattle being so unprepared that they can't even manage to get both feet in bounds on what would have been a TD when D Drop had PLENTY of room to work with. How about all them horrible throws from Hasselbeck in to no mans land and the few others that should have been picked off but the Steelers DB's dropped them If you REALLY watched the game, it is clearly obvious who beat the Seahawks. AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Ben didn\'t get in TOUCHDOWN!! Pictures shows it and you have to think, they have more camera angles than they show on TV. Game is over, Steelers win, Steelers win! Seahawks had chances, they feel apart and you can't blame the refs on that!!
