elkoholic
Re: black bear outfitters Are you looking for a spot and stalk hunt or a stand hunt over bait? For big bear and spot and stalk style, and if you can afford it, Jim Shockey has some great hunts on Vancouver Island. For hunting over bait try contacting Gerry Angell at Angell's hunting and fishing resort in Saskatchewan. Guest BCBOY
Re: black bear outfitters BC is the spot to come if you want a bear. Heck we've got more bears than people. Most outfitters in the province run about 30% on the colour phases. The advantage here is you can take 2 bears easily in one week. Lots of chances at lots of bears. Pretty darn easy to kill a 6 foot plus bear. And if you are willing to hold your trigger finger on the first 2 dozen or so bears you see, you might even come home with a true WHOPPER. The Guides and Outfitter's Association of BC's website is www.goabc.org They have links to individual outfitter's websites. BTW. All bear hunting here in BC is spot and stalk. Bait hunting isn't allowed. Nothing like putting the stalk on a big ol' boar and getting up close and personal with him.
snapper
Re: black bear outfitters Only one I can recommend is Larence Dyer and sons. They are located in New Brunswick Can. and hunt over bait...spring and fall hunts. They are great guys (I hunted whitetail there once) and had some top hunters book with them. Chuck Adams, Ted Nuget, Jimmy Houston (before all the video crap) just to name a few. I know Chuck Adams and Ted Nuget are booked again for this year...and I also believe Michael Waddel is booked for the last week of May. Not sure of the web site...do a search, should be able to find it. If you get a phone number from their site and decide to call...ask for Danny Dyer!
