There were no "questionable" calls last year. [/ QUOTE ] I will agree as to the game itself. Was not very exciting! Except when Randel El threw that ball to Ward! But as to the calls that were or not made. If we all claim to see or say what was done. Then why are you not a ref for the NFL? I mean its just a game, why get so darn upset about it. MOVE ON! Its not just here its on other forums I go on as well! People get so darn wrapped up!
drkillemquick
Re: Funny Thing??? Watched the super bowl, and I enjoyed it. I was glad Bettis won, but other than that I didn't care who won. I thought for the most part it was a good game, and pittsburg was lucky to win. Seattle didn't capitalize when they needed to. I know if I was a seahawk fan I would be probably be complaining about calls, because that's what losers do complain. It was a touchdown....... it was pass interference against seattle........ and seattle made some really STUPID calls in the fourth quarter. The reason why there is so much complaining about the officiating is because either team could have won it (they both played terrible), and it's easier to blame the refs than take the responsibility of not showing up for the big game. Congrats to the steelers, you got lucky, and well to seattle, you have a great team, and hopefully they learn from there mistakes and come back next year a little more focused and experinced and win it! unioncountyslayer
Re: Funny Thing??? I don't know if you guys saw Bradshaw on Leno the night after the game, but what he said made sense. He said in the NFL, you get some calls and you get some calls against you, or you don't get a call at all. But what's important is that you have to play the whole game. You can't blame a win or a loss on a few bad calls. IBHO (In Bradshaw's Honest Opinion).
VtBowhunter
Re: Funny Thing??? Actually, there are complaints of bad calls after every superbowl..........mostly due to the losing team not playing up to expectations, and the fans being frustrated at that. [ QUOTE ] Last year when the patsies won the Super Bowl, I dont recall all the BS like it is now that the Steelers have won??? Funny!!! [/ QUOTE ] Actually, 3 out of the last 4 years with no BS. Probably because the games were much more exciting and the participating teams actually played like they belonged there. You needed only to be a fan of the game to enjoy them, This years SB was only enjoyable to watch if you were a stiller fan for the most part merely because they won. It was boring and poorly played. Much better play was expected of both teams. Heck, the Refs were probably bored also.
Chrud
Re: Funny Thing??? Didn't Ben have a QB Rating of just over 22?
PAbowhunter4life
Re: Funny Thing??? I believe it was actually 25 lol. Hey, I'll be the first to tell you it was an UGLY wind and a HORRIBLY played game. None the less, it was a win and all 5 Vince Lombardi Trophies are 15 minutes away from my house
VtBowhunter
Re: Funny Thing??? It was a boring game. Ben had a passer rating of 22.5 I think......but if 6 dropped passes are caught, then his rating is much higher with a TD pass thrown in, but that's neither here nor there.......you could tell both teams were playing very nervous football.
