Re: What is your Thermostat set at

Growing up we never messed with our thermostat. We adjusted clothing instead. I honestly was a little unsure how to even set on when my wife and I moved in together in our first house due to the fact that we just never tinkered with it. She quickly learned me how you are supposed to use one. She learned from her mom how to set one a long time ago.

First thing when you get up you crank the thing sky high because you are cold at that exact moment. Then after an hour or so when you warm up you turn it way down because you are now hot. You go to work and when you come home you crank it sky high because it is cold in there now because you turned it way down before you left....you know...when you were hot. Now that the heat is kicking and you have started dinner with the oven and stove going you sit down to dinner then you turn it way down because it is Africa Hot in there. Finally you get to sit down and relax after dinner and maybe watch some TV. You get a little chilled now so no you don't grrab a blanket you crank the heat up full blast again..you know...to take the chill out of the air! Ahhhh...bed time, now it is so freaking hot in the house you can't sleep. You now slam it all the way down for bed time. You can't get anymore naked and all you have on is the sheet with the ceiling fan blasting just so you can keep from melting. You finally fall asleep only to wake up about an hour before your alarm goes off so you know you will loose that hour and you have a body temp hovering around 90 degrees because you slammed it down before you went to bed...you know...when you were HOT! What do you do now? CRANK IT UP because you are freezing and do it all again. What...thats not how it works in your house?????
