Swampy let him try the helmet on before you buy it. Make sure it is DOT and Snell2000 approved. These are the safety standards. This is one area where you really get what you pay for. Make sure the helmet you get is snug.....not tight and not loose. A loose helmet with pop off and a tight helmet will give you headaches. Also try to get one with a removable liner, full face, and a visor. Also if he doesn't have any get him some goggles. You will be suprised how much damage a tree limb can do to an eyeball.

Ditto! Ditto! Ditto! DON'T order just any helmet hoping he'll grow into it. This is a life or death decision. [i hope not] Make sure your dealer is really up to the task of getting a proper fit. If you have to get a new helmet next year because he outgrew it so be it. His head is the issue here. Not money or anything else.

Take it from someone who knows from experience. A good proper fitting helmet saved me from a lot of who knows what!

Re: Kids 4 wheeler helmet.

Believe me, it isn't the issue of price. I don't care what it costs, my questions was, how do I determine the size that fits him for sure and where can I order them. I will definitely have him try them on before I buy one thanks to this thread, but I figured if I had measured his head that maybe you can order them to fit exactly by size. Thanks all.
